Post-doc Four Centuries of Labor Camps
In the research department there will as of 1 December, 2013, be an opening for a Post-doc full-time for three years, location: NIOD to work on the Research project Four Centuries of Labor Camps: War, Rehabilitation, Ethnicity Subproject: “Internment, Work, Poverty and Crime in Hamburg, 1618-1969″
The research project Four Centuries of Labor Camps: War, Rehabilitation, Ethnicity is a joint enterprise of the Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies (NIOD) and the International Institute of Social History (IISH), both located in Amsterdam. The project aims at an integrated, worldwide history of labor camps that seeks to overcome chronological boundaries. The project will be led by professor Pieter Spierenburg with professors Marcel van der Linden and Peter Romĳn as co-directors. See the project description at our website.
